Meet your instructor

Kia ora Whanau, my name is Henare otherwise known as ‘H’. I own and operate Te Arahi Driver Education, where I'm dedicated to helping new drivers every step of the way.

This is my passion and I truly love what I do. I customise lessons to fit each student's needs and ability regardless of how anxious they may feel. This is what I say to my students, “Its hard enough sitting behind the wheel let alone having someone telling them what to do“, so understanding their needs is important to me.

What makes me different?

My commitment to each student's success. I create a positive, supportive atmosphere by allowing them to be themselves with a sense of knowing that everything will be ok.

So together lets embark on a journey towards being safer on the roads with a lifetime of confident driving.

SOME QUICK FACTS >

FATIGUE

If you are driving while tired you can display the same impaired reaction times and decision making as drivers under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

SEAT BELTS

Seat belts support you in a sudden stop or crash, supporting up to 20x your weight. Think of the damage that would do if you weren’t restrained…

DRUG DRIVING

In 2020, drugs were a factor in 115 road deaths, and 214 serious injuries caused in road accidents.
